BestScan also suggests file names for supplemental documents, such as the Credit Counseling Ceritificate and Payment Advices, for automated upload with OneTouch Electronic Filing!

- Helping You Manage More Cases
In Best Case, you can insert brief notes about cases to be displayed in your Client List, enter follow-up dates, sort by date or name, filter out closed cases, and mark cases as needing attention. You can print a summary of all cases with a yearly breakdown of total cases by status, chapter, and type of debtor. For each case, you can use our Case Notes to mark down important information, track dates, and record contact information. Best Case will create a report of this information.
- Create Client Templates
For many cases, certain case information is the same: basic household furnishings, exemptions, attorney compensation, etc. Best Case lets you create templates of this information so that when you start a new case, basic information is entered.
- Copy Client File or Creditors
Do you ever have to prepare multiple or related cases for one client? No problem in Best Case. Use our Copy Client feature to make a duplicate copy of a file, or use our import and export feature to copy property or creditor schedules from one case to another.
- Export Client Feature
allows you to take a client file home with just two mouse-clicks! You can choose to transfer the file via disk or email. Its just that easy.
- Backup/Restore Feature
This allows you copy all client files to a diskette or other location on your hard drive quickly and easily. You can also backup Setup Information, your Common Creditor List, Jurisdiction Information and your Additional Documents Library.
- Best Case Common Creditor List
Easily accessible throughout the program, the Best Case Common Creditor List goes beyond what other programs offer. You can make notes and record contact information for each common creditor, save default answers for the reason for debt, print your list of creditors, and share common creditors on a network. Best of all, the list is accessible through a special Autofill™ feature: just type the first few letters of the creditor name then press the [Enter] key to have the address and key information filled in for you.
- Creditor Address Matrix Formatted
for Each District:
Best Case Bankruptcy formats the creditor address matrix using the local
requirements where the case is being filed. You will also be able to quickly transfer the matrix to a disk or email, and prepare the matrix file in several different formats depending on your needs.
- Easy Envelopes and Labels
Best Case gives you the ability to create envelopes or labels for creditor mailings with a few clicks. Mailings that would ordinarily take hours to prepare can be created in seconds.
- Exemption Analyzer
This feature allows you to easily determine which exemptions are most applicable to your debtor. By entering in basic living information about your debtor, Best Case will rank the exemptions according to the information you have entered. The Exemption Analyzer will also determine how much of the Homestead Exemption your debtor will likely be entitled to.
- Exempting Property is Easy and Quick
Through our Setup Menu, you can associate each exemption statute with one or more property types. As you work in Schedule C, the most applicable statutes appear at the top of the list, so you can quickly pick the best statute for each piece of property. Exemption tabs in Schedules A and B are designed to allow you to copy property to Schedule C easily. Even better, there are filters in Schedule C to help you identify property that has not been exempted, property that is not fully exempt, unused statutes, and more. Best Case Bankruptcy allows you to customize your own exemption statues and to select the set of exemptions most applicable to your client.
- More Flexibility on Schedules I and J
On the Income and Expense schedules, we’ve added Other Details buttons to handle common information not included on the Official Federal Forms, like cable and cell phone bills. Even better, you can save a default list of “other” items to use with every client. If the information entered for I and J exceeds the space on the forms, Best Case will automatically create an attachment. When your debtor has more than one job, use our new tab to input the additional employers, and we’ll add an attachment to list them.
- Create Attachments Without Fuss
When you need to supply information not captured in the basic forms and schedules, you can use our easy attachments feature to create documents in the Best Case Editor. Best Case stores each attachment with the form it is attached to, making it easy to find and print attachments. This feature gives you the flexibility you need to add a lengthy explanation or description to a document. When attaching a scanned document to a form or schedule, you can now access Best Scan from the attachments window. BestScan will appear ready to scan your document to the selected schedule.
- Amendments are a Breeze
If you file many cases, you also file many amendments, and you’ll love how easy it is to amend a form or schedule in Best Case. Just mark a printing option to print the word "Amended" in the form title, and, if you choose, a separate option to print just the amended item. Make a typo? Best Case lets you print just one page of a form to make a quick correction. And our new ECF Express™ feature makes electronically filing amendments a cinch.
- Best Case Editor
You can use the Best Case Editor to create a form or motion, to modify the Attorney Compensation Statement, Chapter 13 Plan, and other documents that often need to be customized for individual clients. The Best Case Editor is a word processor, complete with a PDF maker, built right into the program!

Best Case gives you the ability to convert the chapter of filing without
losing information that you have entered. (Except the Chapter
