Feature Spotlight: Link a Creditor to a Property directly from Schedule D

After you import creditor data using Credit Report Import, easily link a creditor to a property right from Schedule D. Avoid entering duplicate creditors by following these simple steps:

To link a creditor to a property:

  1. In Schedule D, double click on a Creditor's name (or press the Change button)
  2. Select the Orange House button next to the Desc. of Property field. NOTE: This button only appears when a Creditor is not yet linked to a property Step 1
  3. Choose the property you want to link and click Select. If the property is not listed, you can easily create a new property on Schedules A or B with the New A or New B button NOTE: If you have not entered any Real or Personal property in Schedules A or B the property list will be blank Step 2

Did You Know?: You can mask Creditor Account Numbers in Schedules D, E and F.

When this default is selected, only the last four digits of the account number for the creditor appear on the printed form. Keep your clients' information secure by using this default setting.

  1. Close all client windows, including the client list. Then go to Setup > System Preferences Step 1
  2. Check the Default to mask Creditor Account Numbers in Schedules D, E and F checkbox Step 2
  3. Click OK to save your settings
  4. Then, go to the Forms & Schedules Menu of any client file
  5. Select any form or schedule for printing and click Print in the top menu bar Step 5
  6. Go to the Privacy tab and select:
    • Mask Social Security No.
    • Mask All Account Numbers
  7. Select Save current Privacy options as default Step 7
  8. Your settings are now saved as the default for all users Step 8
