Feature Spotlight: MyECFMail now integrates with Best Case Bankruptcy

Recently released, MyECFMail helps you organize, access and calendar the high number of emails transmitted from the Court and automatically downloads your Free Looks. The new MyECFMail Case Viewer in Best Case Bankruptcy is an easy way to view all emails and related PDFs for a client in a few clicks.

Two Ways to Access the Case Viewer in Best Case*:

  • ECF Manager – After an initial case is filed a MyECFMail button is displayed in the Forms Prepared for Filing tab and Prior Filings tab. Click to open the Case Viewer to display CM/ECF emails and PDFs for your client.
    Step 1
  • Tools Menu – With a client file open, navigate to Tools in the top menu bar. Select MyECFMail, then Open Case Viewer for Current Case.

*To access up-to-date emails and PDFs in Best Case you must have the latest version of MyECFMail and Best Case Bankruptcy installed and running.


Shortcuts: Display creditors with F9

Instantly access a list of creditors currently in use by pressing F9 in any creditor entry window. You are able to view creditor name, schedule, claim amount and more. Easily choose from the list to select the creditor.

  1. In a creditor entry window, such as the secured creditor information window in Schedule D, press F9.

  2. A window is displayed with all creditors associated with the case where you can view and add them to your current schedule.

Insights: Generate PDFs of a form, schedule or entire petition

Do you ever need to send a form, schedule or an entire petition to a client or colleague? It's easy to create a PDF in Best Case.

  1. Select the form(s) or schedule(s) to print.
  2. Right click and select Print Preview. The form(s) or schedules(s) will be displayed.

  3. In the top menu bar, click on the PDF icon

  4. Choose a location to save the file and type in a file name

  5. Click Save. The new PDF will open in your PDF viewer.
