Important Notice

Effective August 11, 2025: PACER has implemented Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for CM/ECF and PACER accounts and announced that users with CM/ECF-level access who do not voluntarily enroll will be randomly selected to do so beginning August 11, 2025. Failure to enroll and authenticate your PACER account with Best Case will put you at risk to file from Best Case. These features are available in this update of Best Case. By pressing Continue, you accept responsibility for filing documents with the court that may be rejected. If the filing is rejected, you may have to file amendments. By pressing Continue, you accept responsibility for filing any amendments and any costs that may arise.

To update Best Case:

  1. At the top of Best Case, on a gray screen, select Tools > Check for Update*
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the changes
  3. If you are on a network version, all users must exit prior to installation
